Services for Ambrosio Rodriguez Perez, Sr., will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 1, 2017, One Cross, Three Nails Fellowship Church, Abernathy, TX with Rev. Juan Aguilar and Rev. David Caballero officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Viewing will be held at the church from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm Sunday, February 26th, and 9:00 am until 9:00 pm both Monday and Tuesday, and 9:00 am until service time Wednesday, March 1st. Mr. Perez died at his home in Abernathy, Friday, February 24, 2017. He was born December 7, 1937 in Rio Grande City, TX to Anselmo and Tiodora (Rodriguez) Perez. He married Frebonia Ogeda September 7, 1957 in Mart, TX, they moved to Abernathy in 1962 from Mart. He was a member of New Harvest Fellowship Church in Abernathy. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Father, 3 brothers, a daughter; Manuela Perez in 1959 and a son; Guadalupe Perez in 1962. He is survived by his Mother, Tiodora Perez of McAllen, TX, 2 sons, Ambrosio Perez, Jr. and Anselmo Perez both of Lubbock, 4 daughters, Delia Garza, Gloria Natal and Sylvia Cantu all of Abernathy and Debbie Gonzales of Lubbock. He is also survived by his 22 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Domingo Perez of Hidalgo, TX, Santos Perez of Grand Prairie, TX and Alfredo Perez of Lubbock and 2 sisters, Mary Gaona and Maggie Maldonado both of McAllen, TX.
