Mrs. Mullins went to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 13, 2015, in Abernathy.
Rosie Lee Rollison was the eldest of six children born to the union of Minnie and Richard Rollison on January 5, 1929. Rosie attended her earlier education years at both Lesion Field and Cross Road County Schools. She became a Christian at an early age and remained faithful throughout her life. On August 16, 1949 she married Claude Mullins who had loved her from birth. To their union, 12 children were given.
Claude and Rosie were faithful members at Bethel Baptist in Abernathy for years until Rev. Mullins took on the pastorship of Lone Star Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and joyfully served along beside him for over 45 years. She exemplified Christ in every phase of her life. She was often known to place others needs above her own without complaining! Rosie lived out her life by doing the words of her favorite song, "Give Me My Flowers". Being the lady that she was, she always knew when to make her earthly exit in God's timing!
She was preceded in death by a son, Oliver Mullins
Those left to mourn her passing are her beloved husband of 66 years, Rev. Claude Mullins, Jr. of Abernathy, 11 children, Rosetta Bradley of Abernathy, Gracie Stevenson of Carthes, TX, Winford Mullins and wife, Willie, of Lubbock, TX, Claude Edward Mullins of Lubbock, Joyce Bradley of Lubbock, Annelle Coleman and husband, Howard, of San Antonio, TX, Catherine Beaver and husband, Joe, of Hale Center, TX, Peggy Palmer and husband, Theodore, of Abernathy, Michael Mullins of Lubbock, Vicki Mullins of Oklahoma City, OK, and Martha Williams of Lubbock, 36 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
