Services for Alberto Tanguma, Sr., 74, of Petersburg, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 4, 2011, in the home of Alberto Tanguma, Jr., 911 14th Street, Abernathy, TX.
Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.
Mr. Tanguma died Wednesday, November 30, 2011, in Lubbock, TX.
He was born May 13, 1937 in Harlingen, TX. He moved to Petersburg from Los Fresnos, TX.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Norberta Hernandez on January 27, 1986 and a grandson Alberto Tanguma III on June 30, 1992.
He is survived by 5 children, Armando Tanguma and Concepcion Avila both of Brownsville, TX, Alberto Tanguma, Jr. of Abernathy, TX, Judy A. Chavez of Plainview, TX and Jose Angel Tanguma of El Paso, TX, 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Arnoldo Tanguma, Andres Tanguma and Guillermo Carmona and a sister, Leonore Colosio
