Graveside services for Eddie Robert Peters, 59, of Lubbock, TX, formerly of Abernathy and Portales, NM, were held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2002, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Arlen Ankle officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy. Mr. Peters died on Sunday, May 20, 2002, in Eutaw, Alabama. He was born on October 18, 1942 in Waco, TX. He lived in Abernathy until enlisting in the United States Army where he served until 1962. He had lived in Portales, NM from 1978 until 2000 when he moved to Lubbock, TX. He was employed with Knight Brokerage of Levelland, TX.
