Funeral services for Norman Glen Lipham, 71, of Abernathy, TX and formerly of Alomogordo, NM, were held at 3:00 pm Friday, August 19, 2005, in the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Arlen Ankle, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Lipham died Saturday, August 13, 2005, in Lubbock, TX. Mr. Lipham was born September 17, 1933 in Motley County, TX. He married Joydene Eubank, July 19, 1951, in Carlsbad, NM. He was employed by the United States Civil Service from 1959 until his retirement in 1989. He and his wife moved to Abernathy in 2001 from Alomogordo, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents; Roy Lee Lipham and Nellie Morrison Lipham, twin sons, Norman Dean and Ricky Glen, 2 brothers, Fred and Leroy Lipham and a sister, L. M. Lipham. He is survived by his wife, Joydene Lipham of Abernathy, TX, a daughter Dorinda Torres and husband Jacob of Abernathy, TX, one son, Darryl Randolph and wife Tammy of Woodward, OK, 3 brothers, Julian Lipham and wife Joyce of Texarkana, Doyle Lipham and wife Dovie Lipham of Aspermont, TX, Wayne Lipham and wife Mary Jo of Weatherford, TX, 3 sisters, Nelda Wagoner of Ozona, TX, Wanda Willard and husband Irving of Uvalde, TX, and Ida Ewing and husband Roy of Houston, TX, a sister-in-law, Sue Lipham of Aspermont, TX, 4 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons,and 3 great granddaughters.
