Services for Jane Charlotte Heath, 76, longtime resident of Hale Center, TX were held Saturday, November 16, 2002, at 10:00 am in the First United Methodist Church in Hale Center with Rev. Jimmy Cameron, pastor and Rev. John Erwin, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Stamford, TX, officiating.
Burial followed services in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell
Funeral Home of Hale Center.
Mrs. Heath died on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
She was born on May 8, 1926 in Hale Center, TX. She attended Hale Center schools and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. She married Eugene Heath on May 8, 1945 in Plainview, TX. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church where she actively served on many boards and committees. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as past Worthy
Matron, District Deputy and State Officer. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Pioneer Study Club. She had also served as a former board member of the Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum and had been a member of the
Lubbock Club for 32 years.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Heath of Hale Center, TX
3 sons, Jody Heath, Mike Heath and Bob
Heath all of Lubbock, TX
7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
