Services for Jettie O. Hall, 84, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 4, 2012, in the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Mike Davis, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Hall died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, in Lubbock, TX. The family will receive friends at Abell Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm. She was born October 9, 1927 in Dickens, TX to Lon A. and Martha Lee (Shaw) Hyatt. She married Gerald Marvin Hall on September 8, 1945 in Lubbock, TX and he preceded her in death December 5, 1994. She was a longtime Abernathy resident and had lived in Dickens, TX. She worked as a bookkeeper at Reid Chevrolet, White-Gold Gin and other businesses until her retirement from the City of Abernathy in 2010. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mitzi D'Nae Sanders May 23, 2010. She is survived by 2 daughters, Cheryl "Skeet" Engle-Condray and her husband Norman of San Angelo, TX and Marsha Sanders and her husband Jerry of Lubbock, TX, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Memorials in honor of Gerald and Jettie are requested for the planting of a tree at the Hall gravesite in the Abernathy Cemetery, you may send these contributions to Abell Funeral Home, Box 599, Abernathy, TX 79311, or you may make memorial contributions to the South Plains Food Bank.
