Obituary of Charles Duncan

Graveside Services for Charles Lee Duncan, Sr. "Chuck", 56, of Hale Center, TX were held Thursday, January 2, 2003 at 2:00 pm at Hale Center Cemetery with Matt Swanson, minister of Church of Christ officiating. Services were under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home, Hale Center, TX. Mr. Duncan died Monday, December 30, 2002 at Covenant Hospital in Plainvew, TX. He was born on February 23, 1946 in Paris, TXand was raised in Hale Center. He graduated from Hale Center High School, and married Lavonne Sue Rankin on August 22, 1972 in Titusville, Pennsylvania. He was a Vietam Veteran serving in the United States Army from 1965-1975. He served as a Boy Scout Master in Post, TX, and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was the market manager at Lowe's Pay N Save #62 grocery store in Hale Center. He is survived by his father, Ervin Duncan of Hale Center, TX his wife, Sue Duncan of Hale Center, TX 1 son: Charles Duncan, Jr of Hale Center, TX 1 brother: Tommy Duncan of Seymore, TX. 1 sister: Shirley Malett of Lubbock, TX 3 grandchildren: Parker, Cameron and Ethan Duncan all of Hale Center, TX His mother, Louise Pilkington Duncan is deceased.
