Sharon Mae Worley (née Conner), 79, recently of Salina, KS, passed away on May 9, 2024, in Lubbock, TX. Born on May 18, 1944, to Earl and Dorothy Mae (Baker) Conner, in Quitaque, TX. She was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Don Worley.
Sharon was a strong, independent woman devoted to her family. She had a passion for quilting, shopping, and cooking. Sharon was known for her love of spending time with her family and engaging in activities like jigsaw puzzles and board games.
In her career, she worked as a Ticket Agent for Braniff Airlines and later became the proud owner of Three Forks Campground in East Glacier Park, MT. Sharon found solace in her faith and worshipped at Southern Baptist churches.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her daughter Judith Beck (Larry) of Salina, KS, son Kenneth Worley (Renee Lawrence) of Little Rock, AR, brothers Don (Margaret) Conner of Lubbock,TX and Ernest (Carol) Conner of Waxahachie, TX, grandchildren Stephanie (Dave) Miller, Christy Singer all of Little Rock, AR, Donathan Worley of Jacksonville, AR, Ken (Priscila) Beck of Enid, OK, Sam Beck of Kansas City, MO, great-granddaughters Audrey Miller of Little Rock, AR and Larkin Beck of Enid, OK, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Worley, mother Dorothy Conner, and father Earl Conner.
A Memorial Service will be held at LifePoint Baptist Church, 1102 Slide Rd #3, Lubbock, TX 79416, on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with a light lunch and family visitation following the service. Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charitable organization of choice in Sharon's memory.
