Services for David Trevino, 56, of Irving, TX, will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, July 19, 2022,in the New Harvest Baptist Church with Guadalupe Salinas officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. The family will gather to receive friends Monday, July 18, 2022, from 12:00pm until 6:00pm at New Harvest Baptist Church with a Celebration of Remembrance that evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Mr. Trevino died Thursday, July 14, 2022, in Irving. He was born on August 13, 1965 in Abernathy to Ramon and Elida (Ramirez) Trevino. Raised in Abernathy, David married Racel Salinas on May 28, 1994 in Lubbock, TX. They moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2001. David loved all sports, especially football and his Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed music, dancing, trying new restaurants and attending different events. Humble and helpful, David loved spending time with his family and friends. A great husband, father, and believer in the Word, he served as a mentor to many. David was preceded in death by a son David Ray Trevino, daughter Valorie Trevino, 3 brothers Ramon Trevino, Jr., Rene Trevino, and Armando Trevino, Sr., and a sister Rosa Lopez. He is survived by his wife Racel Trevino and son Michael Trevino, both of Irving, TX, and 8 siblings Amador Trevino of Waco, TX, Aurora Cardenas of Abernathy, Demetrio Trevino of Abernathy, Angelica Placencio of Plainview, TX, Enrique Trevino of Abernathy, Arturo Trevino of Abernathy, Adela Garcia of Hale Center, and Renata Castro of Slaton, TX.
