Sue was a member of the church of Christ. Her home congregation was West College and Third in Lockney, TX. She attended schools in Three Way, TX and Bula, TX. On August 15, 1958, she married Donald Rhea Chesshir in Bula. They lived in numerous communities around West Texas until settling in Floydada in 1973. Besides her beloved husband Don, the pride and greatest joy in her life were her children, grandchildren and great grand daughter and she was eagerly looking forward to the birth of additional great grand children. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald Rhea; two daughters and their husbands Donna and Charles Keaton of Lockney, TX, Tammie and Bobby Shuping of Hale Center, TX, one son and his wife, Don Garner and Christina Chesshir of Floydada, TX, grand children, Charissa and Cory Golden of Brownfield, TX, Rusty Keaton and Kami Keaton both of Lubbock, TX, Zach and Kristi Logan of Floydada, TX, Zane and Cammy Logan of Canyon, TX, Michael Shuping of Hale Center, TX, Tyler Chesshir, Dillon Chesshir and Syndi Chesshir all of Floydada, TX, and one great grand daughter, Taryn Golden of Brownfield, TX. She was preceded in death by both sets of parents and two infant twin brothers. Her last wish was to donate her body to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Memorial services were held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 2, 2007, in the West College and Third Church of Christ in Lockney, TX, under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX.
