Rosary for Felipa G. Trevino, 90, of Hereford, TX, was recited at 7:30 pm, Thursday, August 17, 2006, in the St. Isidore Catholic Church, Abernathy, TX. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 18, 2006, in the same church with Rev. Joseph Chorikavunkal, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Trevino died Tuesday, August 15, 2006, in Amarillo, TX. She was born in Austin, TX, February 5, 1916. She married Porfirio Trevino on May 18, 1936 in Sinton, TX, he preceded her in death January 5, 1978. She was a longtime Abernathy resident until moving to Littlefield, TX in 1993, Lubbock in 1995 and to Hereford in 1999, where she lived until her death. She was a former member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. She is survived by 6 daughters, Elida Flores of Victoria, TX, Emma Sanchez and husband Ramiro of Anton, TX, Juanita Alvira and husband Pablo of Glendale, AZ, Senaida "Sandy" Trevino and Mary Carmen Alaniz and husband Raymond all of Hereford, TX, and Esther Thompson and husband Jay of Winslow, CO, 3 sons, Vidal Trevino and wife Graciela of Sun City, CA, Vicente Trevino and wife Wynieva of Montezuma Creek, UT, Porfirio Trevino, Jr., and his wife Mari of Lubbock, TX, 3 brothers, Juan Gatica of Abernathy, TX, Angel Gatica and wife Amy of Phoenix, AZ and Luciano Gatica and wife Yolanda of Glendale, AZ, 2 sisters, Margarita Cardenas of Glendale, AZ and Lionisia Guerra of Sunny Slope, AZ, 34 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
