Services for Ameilai M. Garcia, 88, of Hale Center, TX, were held at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 6, 2008, in the Hale Center First United Methodist Church with Rev. Elias Moralez officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Garcia died at her home Monday, March 3, 2008. She was born October 20, 1919 in Piedras Negras, Mexico. She married Juan G. Garcia on May 22, 1938 in Agua Dulce, TX, he preceded her in death February 19, 2002. She moved to Hale Center in 1967 and was a member of the Church of the Living God. She was bery proud to be a part of their five generation family. She is survived by 5 sons, Enrique Garcia of Dallas, TX, Gonzalo Garcia and Pedro Garcia both of Lubbock, TX, Isaias Garcia of Odessa, TX and Salomon Garcia of Hale Center, TX, 7 daughters, Rebecca Garcia of Lawrence, KS, Carmen Munguia of Rochester, MS, Ester Jimenez, Delia Espinosa, Alicia Rodriquez, Amelia Placencio and Maria Rosa all of Hale Center, TX. She is also survived by 4 brothers, Daniel Macias, Juan Macias, Antonio Macias and Jose Macias all of San Antonio, TX, 2 sisters, Sara Macias and Elisa Hermosa both of San Antonio, TX, 57 grandchildren, 127 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
