Graveside services for Martha E. Tedder, 81, of Lubbock, TX and formerly of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 11, 2017, in the City of Levelland Cemetery, Levelland, TX, with Rev. Joel Perez officiating. The family will gather at Abell Funeral Home to receive friends, Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy. Mrs. Tedder died Monday, January 9, 2017, in Lubbock, TX. She was born July 2, 1935 in Hillsboro, TX, one of 10 children, to C. G and Martha Elizabeth (Page) Grizzle. She married Clarence Edward Tedder November 27, 1952, in Lubbock, TX. He preceded her in death April 13, 2006. She was a member of the Abernathy Northside Baptist Church and had lived in Littlefield, Whitharral and Abernathy. She retired from the Whitharral Post Office. She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Paul Tedder, June 8, 1975, son-in-law, Butch Fair, January 9, 2016, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by 2 daughters, Cynthia J. Fair of New Deal, TX and Tisa Lynn Tedder of Austin, TX, 1 sister, Clara Lee Youngblood of Hobbs, NM, 4 grandchildren, James and Tiffany Fair and Kevin and Kasey Hockenberry and 2 great grandchildren, Stephanie and Christopher Fair.
