Services for Geraldine Palmer, 85, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 21, 2016, in the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. W. R. Bolton, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery, Ralls, TX, under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. The family will gather to receive friends from 6pm - 8pm, Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Abell Funeral Home. Mrs. Palmer was called to her eternal resting place on October 16, 2016. She entered this world on February 2, 1931 in Rockston, TX, born to Mirl and Lola Mae (McGrew) Palmer. She married Dee Palmer in May of 1997 in Abernathy, and he preceded her in death January 5, 2007. She moved to Abernathy in 1958 from Idalou, TX, and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Abernathy, where she sang in the choir and served on the Senior Missions Group. She is survived by 5 children, Charles Connaley and Penny Thomas both of Abernathy, Graylon Hamilton and wife Shelley and Bobby Hamilton all of Lubbock, TX and Timmy Hamilton and wife Natalie of Purdon, TX, 22 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
