He was born June 1, 1967 to Sam and Ann (Griffin) Herron in Roswell, NM and graduated from New Deal High School, New Deal, TX. He married Angela Quinn, November 2, 1988 in Woodbridge, England and he was a member of the Mountain View Church of Christ in Colorado Springs, CO. He attended the University of New Mexico and earned a degree in Biology with Summa Cum Laude Honors. He was involved in research work that assisted in the development of the HPV vaccine. Bob served as a United States Air Force Firefighter for 4 years active duty and 6 years in the Reserves. He earned the Air Force Achievement Medal and Firefighter of the Year. Bob was a proud veteran and served his country over the past 29 years. He was an ardent supporter of many military activities and events. However, one of his biggest roles in the military was as a military family member who supported his wife and family in moving to 4 countries, and providing stability for his family. Most recently he worked at the Peterson AFB, Education Center. Everyone who knew Bob, knew he loved his wife and family more than anything. He had a great sense of adventure and humor. He ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain and was actually thrown by one of the bulls and he talked his family into skydiving with him. He loved shooting, a love his family also embraces. He was avid about 4-wheeling and riding his motorcycle. In addition, Bob enjoyed making beer and drinking it while spending time with friends and family. Bob LOVED food and cooking. As you can see, he loved all the things which make spending time with those you love more enjoyable on every level. Bob was preceded in death by his Father, Sam Herron, August 16, 2013. Bob is survived by his wife Angela, daughters Jessica and Ashely, and daughter and son-in-law Samantha and Josh Reynolds. His loving family also includes: Donnie Griffin (grandmother), Ann (mother), Amy and Paul Pharr (his sister and her husband), Tommy and Melody (brother and his wife), nieces and nephews: Jordan and James Horton, Garrett Pharr, and Zach, Taylor, and Bryce Herron all of New Deal, Texas. The family suggests memorials be sent to the NRA, 11250 Waples Mill RD., Fairfax, VA 22030 or the Mountain View Church of Christ, 1080 E. Lasalle, Colorado Springs, CO 80907
