Obituary of Maxine Weaver

Services for Maxine Weaver, 93, of Cotton Center, TX, will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 4, 2015, in the First Baptist Church, Cotton Center, with Rev J. D. Templeton officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 5th, in Carlton Cemetery, Carlton, TX, under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop, Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Weaver died Wednesday, December 2, 2015, in Lubbock, TX. She was born January 24, 1922 in Carlton, TX, to Enos and Grace (Minter) Fine. She moved to Cotton Center in 1965 from Snyder, TX. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cotton Center and was employed by Cotton Center Grain for 43 years, retiring at age 86. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daymond Weaver in 1991, son, Larry Don Weaver in 1957 and sister, Gwen Moring in 1993. She is survived by 2 sons, Barry Weaver and wife Myrna of Lubbock, TX, Gary Weaver and wife Katherine of Colmesneil, TX, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 268, Cotton Center, TX 79021, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or a favorite charity.
