I talked to Aunt Theo for the last time on August 15, 2013, to tell her about her brother-in-law's death, Marion Carlton. She called me Leah Karen which I hadn't heard in 30-35 years. She had moments of confusion, but we mostly talked about the past which she was remembering clearly. I have very fond memories of her as a child on up to my teenage years. She was a fun-loving, creative lady and I always looked forward to going to Uncle Kenneth's and Aunt Theo's house for visits. She and my Mother, Betty Carlton were not only Sister-in-laws, but best friends. Together, they were a pair. In fact, they formed the comedic singing group, The Suffocated Sisters. They performed all over the South Plains area. Only pictures can do justice to the creative, entertaining duo they created. VERY SWEET MEMORIES!!! I'm so glad that you are with Uncle Kenneth, my Mother and Daddy, your folks, my grandparents, Cousin Richard, and the many loved ones who have gone before us. I am so glad that you were a part of my life.
