Services for Randy Neis, 58, of Plainview, TX, will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, December 16, 2013, in the First Baptist Church, Abernathy, with Rev. Mike O'Donnell and Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. The family will gather at Abell Funeral Home Sunday from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm. Randy died Friday, December 13, 2013, in Lubbock, TX. He was born June 10, 1955 in Lubbock, TX to Lindy and Joyce (Brewster) Neis and attended Ballinger School in Lubbock. His church life and his pastors were his world. He went to the Abernathy First Baptist Church until moving to Plainview in 1993 where he attended College Heights. He was an avid Texas Tech fan and loved coca-cola paraphernalia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce, on November 28, 2009. He is survived by his father, Lindy Neis, of Plainview, TX, siblings: Michele Crowell and husband John of Pampa, TX, Blane Neis and wife Julie of Abernathy, Alan Neis and wife Elena of San Antonio, TX, and Rhonda Mauch and husband Ski of Colorado Springs, CO, 10 nieces and nephews, and 6 great nieces and nephews.
