Obituary of Pedro Garcia

Services for Pedro M. "Peti" Garcia, 53, of Hale Center, TX, will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 27, 2013, in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Elias Morales, pastor of Church of the Living God, Hale Center. Burial will follow in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Visitation and viewing will be held at Church of the Living God 1311 Ave E, Hale Center. Mr. Garcia died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, in Lubbock, TX. He was born December 22, 1959 in Alice, TX to Juan and Amelia (Macias) Garcia. The family moved to Hale Center in 1969 from Alice. He was a resident of Lubbock for many years until returning to Hale Center in 2009. Peti enjoyed his time at The Workshop and the Adult Care Center. He enjoyed worship and was a huge fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Robert Garcia in 1999 and Juan Antonio Garcia in 2000. He is survived by 4 brothers, Salomon Garcia of Hale Center, TX, Isaias Garcia of Odessa, TX, Gonzalo Garcia of Lubbock, TX, Enrique Garcia of Grand Prairie. He is also survived by 7 sisters, Rebecca M. Garcia of San Antonio, TX, Carmen Munguia of St. Cloud, MN, Ester Jimenez, Delia Espinosa, Alicia Rodriguez and Amelia Plasencio all of Hale Center and Mary Rosa of Sabastian, TX.
