Obituary of Eva Slaton

Eva Belle Looney Slaton July 26, 1916 - July 14, 2012 Graveside services for Eva Belle Looney Slaton, 95, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 21, 2012, in the Abernathy Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy and Hale Center Center, TX. A visitation will be held Saturday prior to the Graveside from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Mrs. Slaton died Saturday, July 14, 2012, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband Waldon Slaton; her parents, Hall and Nellie Looney; and brother, M. J. Looney. She is survived by 3 daughters and a son; Betty Ingle of Tuscaloosa, AL, Sue Clutter of Newburgh, IN, Dona Ellis of Rockwall, TX and Buddy Slaton of Eastland, TX, a sister, Bobbie Baze and 2 brothers, Marvin Looney and Perry Looney all of Lubbock County, TX, 10 grandchildren, Jeff Ingle, Laurie Hubbard, Kerrie Ingle, Jason Ingle, Justin Clutter, Calvin Clutter, Vern Ellis, Wayne Slaton, Wade Slaton, Becca Slaton and 14 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
