Tolentino Ramirez

Tolentino (Tally) Vela Ramirez, 74, of Abernathy, TX joined his heavenly Father Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Memorial services will be held at One Cross Three Nails Church in Abernathy, at 2:00 pm Friday, July 23, 2010 with Rev. Miguel Torrez officiating. Tolentino was born in Harlingen, TX on September 10, 1935 to the late Marcelo and Victoria (Vela) Ramirez. He married Rosa Barboza on May 1, 1982. He worked all his life for the Shadden family as a farmer. He was preceded in death by a grandson. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 28 years, Rosa Ramirez, 7 sons, Adam and wife Martha, Alex and Ovidio and wife Eva, all of Abernathy, TX, Tolentino Jr. of Amarillo, TX, Rudy and wife Patty and Charlie and wife Sandra all of Harlingen, TX and Robert of Canyon, TX, 3 daughters, Ophelia and fiance Ramon of Abernathy, TX, Belinda and Nelda of Harlingen, TX, Step-mom, Dora of Weslaco, TX, 2 sisters, Andrea of Dona, TX and Ana Lee of Houston, TX, 2 brothers, Marcelo of Brownsville, TX and Charlie of Houston, TX. He has 34 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren who will all miss him dearly. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Abell Funeral Home
