Services for Gertrude "Toodie" Raley, 88, of Lubbock, TX, were held at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 14, 2002, in the 78th & University Church of Christ, Lubbock, TX, with Tom Anderson and Ross May officiating. Graveside services were held at 5:00 pm Thursday, March 14, 2002, in the Fairview Cemetery, Memphis, TX under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. She was born on May 18, 1913 in Quitaque, TX. She married Ralph Leeper in Hollis, OK, in 1934, he preceded her in death. She married Ben Raley in Ft. Worth, TX and he preceded her in death. She was raised in Estelline, TX and had lived in Memphis, TX before moving to Lubbock, TX in 1996. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is preceded by 2 sisters, Minnie Scott and Bessie Lisle. She is survived by a sister, Myrtle Butcher of Lubbock, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
