Mike Nelson Services for Mike Nelson, 48, of Abernathy, Tx., were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 8, 2001, in the Abernathy Church of Christ with David Bennett and Odell Farr officiating. Burial followed services in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, Tx. Mr. Nelson died Thursday, December 6, 2001, in Lubbock, Tx. He was born on December 3, 1953 in Post, Tx. He married Christy Reagan on September 5, 1975 in Abernathy. He was a graduate of Abernathy High School and had attended Sul Ross University and South Plains College. He was a lifelong Abernathy resident and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors; Wife, Christy Nelson of Abernathy, Tx., 1 Son, Vince Nelson of Abernathy, Tx., 2 Daughters, Laura Nelson of Washington, D.C. and Lacy Nelson of Abernathy, Tx.
