Ms. Mendez died Monday, December 19, 2011, at her home in Hale Center, TX.
She was born September 21, 1945 in Hebronville, TX to Clemente and Elisa (Vela) Sanchez.
She is survived by 7 children, Rafael Martinez of Hale Center, TX, Domingo Luna of Iraan, TX, Emilio Luna and Tammy Pena both of Minneapolis, MN, Grag Luna of Del Rio, TX, Steven Luna of Illionois and Rejelio Luna of Huntsville, TX, a brother, Emilio Sanchez of San Antonio, TX, 7 sisters, Gloria Pineda and Olga Sanchez both of Housont, TX, Lilliam S. Vella of Washington State, Francis Sanchez of Falfurrias, TX and Diana Sanchex, Sally Sanchez and Lisa Sanches all of Minneapolis, MN, and numerous grandchildren.
