Neta Jones

Graveside services for Neta Kay Jones, 60, of Midland, TX and formerly of Abernathy, TX, were held at 3:00 pm Friday, March 4, 2011, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Joel Perez officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Ms. Jones died Wednesday, March 2, 2001 in Dallas, TX. She was born December 1, 1950 in Memphis, TX to Ward and Annie "Peggy" Jones. The moved to Abernathy in 1952 and she attended Abernathy Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1969. She went on to further her education and graduated with degrees from the University of Texas and Texas Tech University. Her education classification was N. Kay Jones, M. Ed,. LPC, NCC. She was employed by Inspriations Outpatient Counseling Center of Midland, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Don and Glenn Jones. She is survived by sisters Mary Jo Hawkins of Lubbock, TX and Jackie Tatum of Mansfield, TX and many nephews and nieces. The family suggests memorials be made to the Liver Foundation, Humane Society or the Abernathy Cemetery. Abell Funeral Home
