Cleo Hess

Cleo Hess, 97, of New Deal, TX, passed from this life Wednesday, December 29, 2004. She was born in Berln, OK July 30, 1907. Cleo was a longtime resident of Lubbock County. Services were held at 10:00 am Monday, January 3, 2005, in the New Deal First United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. She married Royce Franklin Hess, August 12, 1933 in Abernathy, TX. He preceded her in death April 24, 2004. They farmed and lived in the New Deal community, and she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Deal. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Pearl West and her husband Herbert of Lubbock, TX, 2 grandchildren, Glenda Kay Van Hoose and her husband Wayne of New Deal, TX, and Jackie Wayne Thompson, Jr. and his wife Kandy of Anson, TX, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
