Royce Henson

Funeral services for Royce Henson, 83, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 10:00 am Monday, May 9, 2005, in the Abernathy First United Methodist Church with Rev. Joel Perez and Joe J. Horn, M.D., officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. He was born August 7, 1921 in Sulfur Springs, TX and served in the United States Air Force during WWII in the Philipines and New Guinnea. He married Sue Vick on February 12, 1983 in Las Vegas, NV, he was member of the Abernathy First United Methodist Church and had served as Abernathy City Councilman for eight years. He is survived by his wife Sue Henson, 2 sons, Johnny Henson and Steve Henson, 3 daughters, Jan Zerwekh, Tammy Kelly and Cynthia Pritchett, 6 grandchildren and 3 sisters, Glenna Wallace, Syble Coultry and Opal Hahn.. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Abernathy EMS or a favorite charity. Abell Funeral Home
