Services for Harold H. Heath, 78, of Hale Center, TX, were held at 10:00 am Friday, March 29, 2002, in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Elton Wyatt officiating.
Burial followed services in the Plainview Memorial park under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center.
Mr. Heath died at his residence on Wednesday, March 27, 2002.
He was born on January 12, 1924 in Missouri. He graduated from Hale Center High School and served in the Army Air Force from 1942 until 1945. He married Pollyana Crawford on November 5, 1944 in Pampa, TX. He moved back to Hale Center in 1959. He owned and operated Mayfield Spraying Service until his retirement.
He was a member of the Lemond Masonic Lodge #832, Plainview Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star # 37, he was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, Khiva Shrine and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hale Center, TX.
He was preceded in death by a son Edward C. "Rocky" Heath, a brother, Robert Heath and 2 sisters, Frances McDowell and Opal Chisnall.
He is survived by his wife, Polly of Hale Center, TX,
3 daughters, Kay McGaha of Paradise, TX, Gail North and her husband Ronald of Lubbock, TX and Jana Kuss of Lubbock, TX.
2 brothers, Gene Heath of Hale Center, TX and Raymond Heath of Denver, CO.
4 grandchildren, Reagan North, Jordan Kuss, Krista Talbott and Justin Fairrel.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or to a favorite charity.
