Obituary of J. Hail JR

Services for J. V. Hail, Jr. of Hale Center, Tx., were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 29, 2001, in the First Baptist Church in Hale Center. Silas Short, Church of Christ Minister of Throckmorton, Tx., officiated. Burial followed services in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home. Mr. Hail died Wednesday, December 26, 2001, in Plainview, Tx. He was born on October 22, 1908 in Hico, Tx. He attended school in Hale Center and married Loree McPherson in 1942 in Hale Center, she preceded him in death on March 2, 1984. He was a Hale Center resident for 78 years where he also farmed. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Hale Center Coop Gin and the Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum. He was the vice-president of the Hale Center Senior Citizens Association for many years and was a member of the Hale Center First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. Survivors; 1 Sister, Maxine Hosier of Bentonville, Ark., 1 Brother, Pat Hail of San Angelo, Tex. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Hale Center Senior Citizens or the Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum or your favorite charity.
