Visitation for Martin Gomez, 79, of Hale Center, TX was held Sunday, December 8, 2002 at Freeman-Abell Funeral Home. Cremation was under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home. Mr. Gomez died in Hale Center on Wednesday morning, December 4, 2002. He was born on June 5, 1923 in Sweetwater, TX. He married Vecenta Medrano on December 4, 1984 in Plainview, TX. He lived in Plainview from 1984 until 1999 when he moved to Ft. Worth, TX until moving to Hale Center in August of 2002. He is survived by his wife, Vecenta Gomez of Hale Center, TX. 2 sons, Martin Gomez, Jr. of Lorraine, TX, and Andres Gomes of El Paso, TX. 2 stepdaughters, Diamentina Dominguez fo Ft. Worth, TX and Josie Rey of Plainview, TX. 1 sister, Alvina Moncada of Arlington, TX. 7 grnadchildren and 1 great grandchild. Abell Funeral Home
