Obituary of Nora Glenn

Graveside services for Nora Etta Shaw Glenn, 84, of Lubbock, TX were held at 10:00 am Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, in the Idalou Cemetery. Rev. Joel Perez officiated. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Glenn died Saturday, October 2, 2004, in Lubbock, TX. She was born August 8, 1920 in the Robertson Community in Crosby County, TX, to Fred and Effie Lee (Sherrod) McArthur. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1939. and married John H. Shaw, June 5, 1942 in Lubbock and he preceded her in death April 11, 1973. She then married childhood friend, A.P. "Price" Glenn, March 11, 1976 in Idalou, TX. She was a dietician for St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock and with Roosevelt ISD. She was a member of the Idalou First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, A. P. "Price" Glenn of Lubbock, TX, a son, Freddie Shaw and his wife Mary of Abernathy, TX, a daughter, Betty Steinheimer and friend James Parker of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Cindy Baldwin, Bryan Shaw, Traci Noretta Fox and Rebecca Haney, and 10 great grandchildren, Brandee Baldwin, Justin Shaw, Chelsea Beard, Shelby Beard, Ashley Shaw, Colton Beard, Rowdy Fox, Sterling Fox, Dalton Beard and Aaron Haney.
