Please share a memory of Caleb to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Memorial services for Caleb Austin Teeters, 42, of Lubbock, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, January 20, 2023, in the First Baptist Church, Abernathy, TX with Caleb's brother, Pastor Nathan Teeters officiating. The family will gather to receive friends following the service Friday in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Caleb died Tuesday, January 17, 2023. He was an avid supporter of THE Texas Longhorns and a lover of all things sports. He loved driving his truck down back roads, listening to country music, and being a cowboy. He also had a heart for Jesus. It’s because of his love for Jesus that we know that we didn’t lose him. We know exactly where he is today. At this very moment he is standing in the presence of Jesus. Fully loved. Fully whole. Fully healed. Caleb was born August 31, 1980 in Lubbock, TX to Dennis and Susie (Mayes) Teeters. He graduated Lamesa High School, Lamesa, TX in 1999 and earned his Bachelors from Wayland Baptist University in 2003. He continued his education earning his Masters at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Caleb preached at Trinity Church in Panhandle, TX. He is survived by his wife Lindsey (Rogers) Teeters of Lubbock, parents Dennis and Susie Teeters of Eunice, NM, 6 daughters, Jayli Hughes and husband Corbin of Spearman, TX, Kamryn Teeters of Lubbock, Brooklyn Teeters of Midland, TX, Ashtyn Kincaid and finacé, Cade Hurst of Friona, TX, Avery Harris and Maddyn Harris both of Abernathy, sister, Summer Matlock and husband Michael of Andrews, TX, his brother, Nathan Teeters and wife Kimmy of Big Spring, TX, 5 nieces and 6 nephews.-- The family suggests memorials be sent to the church he loved and pastored, Trinity Church, P. O. Box 1389, Panhandle, TX 79068
