Services for Bonnie Goodrich, 81, of Lubbock, TX, will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 8, 2022, at Abell Funeral Home, Abernathy, TX, with Rev. Richard Harbison officiating. Viewing will be held from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will follow services in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Goodrich died Friday, April 1, 2022 in Pueblo, CO. She was born June 12, 1940 in Petersburg, TX, to Clifford and Ada Mae (Brunson) Howard. She was raised in Abernathy, graduating Abernathy High School in 1958. She played the saxophone in the band and was cheerleader. She married Mathew Darrell Goodrich, February 20, 1959 in Abernathy. They moved to Lubbock after getting married and loved to travel and took family trips in later years. She attended Lubbock Christian College where she received her real estate license. She loved the mountains, shopping and was very social, usually being the last to leave any party or gathering. She was a Texas Tech fan and was pledged Beta Sigma Phi in 1968, becoming a member of the Xi Xi Tau Chapter. She remained an active member for 54 years. Bonnie was a realtor in Lubbock for 36 years, and had previously been employed at Lubbock National Bank for 10 years. She moved to Ventura Place in Lubbock, March of 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Darrell Goodrich May 17, 2011. She is survived by her son, Dr. Michael Goodrich and wife Laura of Dublin, VA, a daughter Terri Ratcliff, RN of Mesquite, TX, 2 grandsons, Jeremy and Nathan Ratcliff of Mesquite, a brother, Jerry Howard and wife Debby of Abernathy and a sister Carol Hester and husband Rex of Cincinnati, OH The family suggests memorials be sent to The Inside Out Foundation, 4630 50th Street, Ste 500, Lubbock, TX 79414 or to the Lubbock Animal Shelter at 3323 SE Loop 289 Lubboc, TX, 79404, or the the American Heart Assn., P.
