Services for Toby R. Natal, 76, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in The Exchange Church, 1112 Jerome Street, Abernathy with Pastor David Caballero, officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Viewing will be held at The Exchange, from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 1, 2022. An Evening Service will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday at The Exchange. Mr. Natal died in Lubbock, TX, Thursday, February 24, 2022. Toby was born April 16, 1945 in Caldwell County, TX to Patricio and Andrea (Rangel) Natal. He moved to Abernathy from Maxwell, TX in 1960 and farmed until 1979. He married Mary D. Dominguez on October 6, 1962 in Lubbock. In 1983 he became employed with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He was a Baptist. Toby was preceded in death by his parents, Patricio and Andria Natal, sisters, Lydia Ruiz, Margie Sanchez and Santos Ruiz, 2 brothers, Mucio and Gonzalo Natal and a grandson, Daniel Natal. He is survived by his wife; Mary D. Natal of Abernathy, 8 children, Dorothy "Dora" and Arthur Trevino, Sr. of Abernathy, Julian and Wendy Natal, Sr. of Abernathy, Toby and Angie Natal, Jr of Maryville, TN, Martin and Lupe Natal of Abernathy, MaryLou and Jesus Sanchez of Abernathy, Ruben and April Natal of Abernathy, Alyssa and Cass Smith of Lubbock, R. J. Natal and Xzavier Natal both of Abernathy, 2 siblings, Juanita "Janie" Rojas and Dominga Baltierra both of Lockhart, TX, 25 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
