Obituary of Mary Jo Howard

Private memorial services for Mary Jo Howard, 80, of Hale Center, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Abell Funeral Home, Abernathy, TX, with Silas Short officiating. Cremation and services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy. Mrs. Howard died Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in Plainview, TX. She was born September 4, 1939 in Frederick, OK to Floyd Isaiah and Opel (Kisselburg) Hulsey. She married Harley Howard, May 8, 1957 in Bolivar, TX. They moved to Hale Center in 1960 from Denton, TX. She loved to sew and was a member of the Eastern Star. She worked in the High School Cafeteria. Mary Jo was preceded her in death by her husband Harley, August 22, 2014 and a son, Bill Howard in 1999. She is survived by a son, Johnny Howard and wife Donna of Yuma, AZ, daughter, Chella Bradshaw and husband Paul of Hale Center, 6 grandchildren, Michael Howard, Becky Howard, Mandy Bradshaw, Lacy Jo Bradshaw, James Bradshaw and Will Howard, 5 great grandchildren, Harley Bradshaw, Addison Howard, Carmen Howard, Grace Peraza and Hendrix Bradshaw. She is also survived by a brother, Carl Hulsey and wife Donna of Las Lunas, NM.
