Obituary of Charley Kelley

Services for Charley Leroy Kelley, 83, of Weatherford, TX and formerly of Hale Center, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 27, 2010, in the Hale Center First Baptist Church with Rev. Carrol Green officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Mr. Kelley died Sunday, October 24, 2010, in Weatherford, TX. He was born June 20, 1927 in Abernathy, TX, to Arcado and Alberta (Barron) Kelley. He married Jerolene Faith Copeland on December 22, 1945 in Lubbock, TX. He was a graduate of Petersburg High School and had lived in Hale Center for 42 years prior to moving to Weatherford in 1999. He was a member of the Hale Center First Baptist Church and was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was an electrical contractor all over the United States. He is survived by his wife, Jerolene Kelley of Weatherford, TX, Children: Karon Kelley Medlin, Sharon Kelley Goree and Rhonda Kelley Fowler all of Weatherford, TX, Glynda Kelley Williams of Murchison, TX and Brynda Kelley Pool of La Rue, TX 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and 2 brothers, John Willis Kelley of Ozona, TX and Carl Ray Kelley of Abernathy, TX. Charley Leroy Kelley was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Jennifer Na'Coe Goree, a son Morris Kent Kelley and 2 brothers E.J. Kelley and Alfred Kelley. Abell Funeral Home
